(Haste The Day)

Welcome back music fans!  It’s raining sweet manna from heaven in today’s Music Update.

Well my Christmas this year may be as wonderful as it terrible all thanks to Haste The Day.  The good news: They have two upcoming tours traversing all across the states.  The bad news: They are also breaking up after said tours.  It is a bittersweet departure being that it’s one of my personal favorite metal bands, but they’re not leaving us without a encore.  They have a amazing lineup of peers on each tour.  The 12 Days Of Christmas Tour will feature Oh Sleeper, One Last Night and Conditions, and The Farewell Tour will feature My Children My Bride, The Chariot, and A Plea for Purging.  Each tour will be hosted at different venues in an effort to make sure as many people as possible can make it to send the band off.  Promises of rare songs, fan requests and a wide variety of songs from each album are more then enough to excite this fan.  The Farewell dates are not posted yet but click here for the official breakup post and tour dates for the Christmas tour -> Haste The Day Official Website.

Let’s cross our fingers and tap our shiny red slippers.  For with enough luck and no further complications rumors may come true.  As many fans know Blindside promised a new CD was going to be released the middle of 2010.  It was originally intended for 2007 but was then canceled due to a record label dispute.  Now it’s almost 2011 and still no CD.  Though you shouldn’t fret my friends, Papa Roach has confirmed the a new CD does exist and is coming March 2011.  Click here for Blindside’s twitter -> Proof of a new CD!

Astoria is a band formed out the ashes of Chasing Victory but guess what?  Like a phoenix reborn from the ash Chasing Victory is back with a brand new EP in the works!  After you conclude your celebration tide your appetite for new music over with this new Astoria EP -> Astoria’s Official Facebook

In some moments we need to pray for more then just a good meal or a promotion at work.  I find as God challenges my faith I appreciate life through a brand new lens and rediscover what always mattered most.  Aaron Gillespie of The Almost (also ex-Underoath founding member) faces a storm today and has asked the music community for prays and support.  His friend (and ex- Underoath bandmate) Billy Nottke’s father is very sick and cannot afford the medical bills that continue to pile up.  If you can make donations to support him or just keep him in your prays I’m sure the Nottke family would greatly appreciate it.  Click here for the full medical lowdown and contact info to send them your kind words and thoughts-> Aaron Gillespie’s Tumblr page.

Do you play guitar or bass?  Would you like Mewitoutyou’s guitarist Mike Wiess to teach you?  No matter your skill level, whether you’re rusty or you’re playing for the first time, Mike is available to expand your talent as far as you’ll let it go.  The only downside is you have go to Philadelphia, PA.  Well as long thats not a problem you just found yourself a new teacher.  Click here for band’s official blog post and Mike’s email -> Mewithoutyou’s Myspace Blog.
