If you aren’t familiar with Daytrotter.com you need to check it out. In fact, you might as well just skip to the link below instead of reading the rest of this post. The site is a collection of one session studio recordings by predominately indie artists, with a new set of songs appearing every day. These tracks are streaming and the mp3′s are free to download. The tracks are recorded with an emphasis on minimilist production, which ends up making some very unique renditions of great songs. Since there is no live crowd or press, artists are free to work through the possibilities of how their songs should sound in astripped-down state.  Daytrotter.com has an eclectic array of artists that come through including Kris Kristofferson, Of Montreal, and The National. This week the site brought Husband and Wife in to record some tracks from their new album, Proud Flesh. Check out the tracks here:
