124. Diary of a Pool: One Little Rope Held by a Guy with a Shaved Head

I planned on blogging more about the pool, but I went on vacation. But anyways, yesterday the pool came in, and today hopefully it goes in the big hole without disaster like in this hilarious video.  (Be warned there’s some colorful language, and one time he just let’s out an amazing unintelligible yell.)

When the pool was delivered I noticed how the massive pool was hanging there, and it would start to twist and turn in the wind, but it just took one guy with a shaved head barely holding one rope to keep it in place.

That to me is like the one little thing that you can do to defuse a tense situation in a family or relationship. It just takes the right words, the right tone, the right heart to steer something that could turn out to be a disaster.  We just need a bit of wisdom and a bit of love.

And you don’t even need to shave your head.

James 3:4-5. Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. 5 Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark.
