It does make a difference to stay positive. I know I gravitate toward people like that. Once I switched job positions at my work, I was amazed at how my new coworkers were willing to work as a team and do fun things in the office like plan little potluck parties. My old team hated stuff like that and talked behind everyone's back, including our boss, who was probably the nicest boss I've ever had. Sometimes you don't realize how bad an environment is when you are in the thick of it, and I'm sure I added to the negativity more than I realized b/c everyone was like that. UGH. Glad to not be sucked into anymore.
