So we’re trying to sell a townhouse and things were going well till the buyer’s home inspection came back and they said the roof needs to be replaced.
If that weren’t bad enough, that’s the one time we need the yellow pages book and not google. But I had just thrown out our yellowpages because I couldn’t remember the last time I ever used an actual phone book.
Fortunately I had just thrown it away this week, and the trash collectors hasn’t come by yet, so I was able to go out and open a trash bag and get the phonebooks.
That was fun. It’s a good thing no one had thrown away raw fish or pooped in the trash.
So now we’re looking at thousands of dollars we didn’t plan on spending for the roof.
So do we get it fixed? Or do we lower the price for the buyer? Or do we scrap the sale and start again with someone else who wants to pay more? Or do we keep it as a rental?
This sale was so close to being done. So yeah it sucks from what my plans were and I’d like the sale to just go through, but God has something else in mind.
It might involve me having a little less money that I had previously thought, but you know what? It’s God’s money. He can do whatever He thinks is best. I just am a steward of His resources while I’m on this earth.
The point isn’t that I have more money, but that I have more faith.
I just hope that I can have more faith AND more money too. That’s why I have faith every night that I hit lotto.
