I will start of by saying that I fell in love with this album after I listened to the first track, "The King Is Dead". It is, what the majority of the album is, a perfect mix of punk, poppy at times, metal riffs and melodies. Apparently this band has been around for quit sometime (since 2001 but were known as Smackin Isaiah before their 2002 release on Jump Start) but this is the first time that I have ever heard of them. This is a punk band that should breathe new life, originality and energy back into a pathetic punk scene that has just been watered down by the likes of MTV and huge corporate record labels.
"Ruiner" hasn't left my car since the day I got it a few week ago. I found myself singing along in no time and rocking out with the air guitar. I am addicted to the melodies and then the break downs into straight up punk rock and then a break with a solid metal riff. This is for fans of As Friends Rust, Small Brown Bike, Propaghandi and Crime In Stereo. Meet your new favorite band. Don't say I didn't warn you.
