I can already tell that Black My Heart is going to be a mosh and sing along favorite of the hardcore scene. I'm not saying that makes them a good band or anything but Black My Heart's Before The Devil is bursting at the seams with brutal mosh breakdowns and tough guy sing alongs. I can see the fans of bands like Terror and Madball flocking to see this band. They take all the aggression and style of the old school Boston hardcore and brought the more brutal side along for the ride. I really don't dig the vocals either. They aren't bad but they just seem like the lead singer is trying to hard. Overall, it's a solid hardcore record but just not something I can find myself singing along to any time soon. I could be wrong. I think there is a basketball jersey sporting, bandana wearing tough guy inside of us all and maybe mine needs to come out. I'm just a little too much into youth crew style to sing along.
