This is the most anticipated split hardcore album of 2006. This is Champion's last recording and the start of Betrayed going full time. Champion has been onto of the hardcore world over the past few years. Two of the members of Champion (Todd Preboski and Aram Arslanian) joined up with two former members of Carry On (Todd Jones and Greg Bacon) and formed Betrayed. Each band has a completely different hardcore sound. Champion has melodic version of late 80's hardcore (Chain Of Strength, Youth Of Today, Turning Point) while Betrayed seemed to come right out of Washington DC. They have a style that is heavily influenced by Dag Nasty and Embrace. This is the perfect way for Champion to end it all and the perfect way for Betrayed to arrive. Now hopefully Betrayed will put out a full length. This is the way that hardcore splits should be. It is filled with history and the future. It has two bands with common ties but with completely different sounds. Could it get better than this? Excellence at its best. Thank you Champion for all your hard work and effort. You guys were amazing! Thank you Betrayed for your fresh new sound and extremely positive outlook on life and the scene. You guys are amazing!
