Outside of hardcore, the screamo genre is my favorite. I adore everything about it and I love how the music can be twisted and changed but the passion and power still remains. My list of favorites is enormous. It contains such great bands as The Swing Kids, You and I, Funeral Diner, The Saddest Landscape, Hot Cross, Page 99 and Saetia and now the list must contain Alone Records, Daniel Striped Tiger. They have a sound that is unlike any of the bands on my list. They have a slowed down style that is more technical and constructive but still remains chaotic at times. They have taken the sound of the late nineties screamo explosion and blended it with the DC emo/post-punk sound of the mid eighties/early nineties (Fugazi, Nation of Ulysses, Embrace) but also they have taken a page from bands like Black Eyes and they are not afraid to experiment with sounds and different instruments to bring their sound full circle. "Condition" is an extremely solid effort and a shining gem in the under ground music scene that shows that originality exists and that bands are still true to the art and not the dollar bills.
