I love intellectual hardcore bands. I really don't dig lean and watered down lyrics. I love some meat on them bones for me to chew on. It just doesn't have to be political. GIA is a call back to the younger years of hardcore and drawing inspiration from bands like Chain Of Strength and Battery but also keeping the sound new school like Count Me Out and Stand And Fight. This will be a must have for die hard hardcore fans. If you take a listen without digging into the lyrics you will really miss a jem. The music isn't groundbreaking by any means but don't get me wrong, it's really good. The lyrics is what really makes this band special. It's not very often that you find a hardcore band that is so reflective, inspirational and regretful without hitting the depression factor that bands like American Nightmare did. This is one of the best hardcore albums of this year.
