Vancouver, British Columbia has been a huge part of the Pacific Northwest's hardcore explosion of the past few years. The two most notable bands of that area are Go It Alone and Blue Monday. They have joined forces to provide us with one of the most awaited hardcore splits of 2006. Each band throws two new songs into this record and also each band add a cover of a former Vancouver band Reserve 34. This record surprised me. I have both LP's by both bands but this split has a different sound from their previous efforts. Go It Alone seemed to step away a little from their more melodic sound while Blue Monday took a step in the opposite direction and picked up the melodic sound that Go It Alone dropped. This is an extremely good effort by each band. It's a solid hardcore album.
