Good Clean Fun has been making hardcore kids laugh and also making them mad since 1997. In three years, they toured the world non stop and managed to release two full length and two seven inches. In 2002, the band released their discography. In 2004, they did what they promised and did a reunion tour. Now in 2006, the band is back together, in some way or another, to spread their version of positive hardcore and humor.
Good Clean Fun's new album
Between Christian Rock And A Hard Place is placing the band back in the spotlight of controversy with in the hardcore and punk rock community. Issa always finds a way to pick up on the latest trends and make fun of them and make fun of the people who like them. Issa decided to dedicate this record to reality TV, Myspace, politics, Christian kids in hardcore, "emo", punk rock sell outs and good old tunes about positivity and straight edge.
Overall, the album is okay. It is one of those albums that grows on you after each listen. It's a lot more poppy than their previous efforts and a lot more serious as well but it still contains the laughable lyrics that we all came to love. It won't make it into my favorites of the year but I still love this band. I recently saw them twice of their past tour and had the time of my life so the band still has it.
