Level Plane Records is one of those record label that never ceases to amaze me. They never really stick to any genre and aren't afraid to explore. Their newest release is Gospel "The Moos Is A Dead World" and it pretty much symbolizes what Level Plane is all about. Their sound is very hard to nail down, it's very obscure and a combination of a lot of genres. The best way I can put it is that it's a mix of Planes Mistaken For Stars with very technical and progressive 70's rock and at times very psychedelic. It's very raw so don't expect a mind blowing recording but the raw sound doesn't hurt the sound at all. I would rate this album very high with Level Plane enthusiasts and people who love obscure and edgy rock. Grade A!
