Latrobe five-piece The Juliana Theory will release their fifth LP on September 13.
Deadbeat Sweetheartbeat is, according to a statement released by the band, their best attempt yet at capturing the live energy of a Juliana show.
Bassist Chad Allan described the album as "Emotion is Dead on chrystal meth" while vocalist Brett Detar was a little more detailed.
"It's basically a goodbye album, a farewell record. It's one long series of goodbyes after another, except they aren't sappy, sad goodbyes. Most of them are good riddance type of goodbyes. Lyrically the songs convey almost elated farewells to lovers, towns, and bad relationships."
This is the band's first independently released LP after releasing two with Tooth and Nail and then moving to Epic for the rock infused Love. Deadbeat Sweetheartbeat will be released through Abacus/Paper Fist with distribution to come via Rykodisc.

The band has also announced a run of headline shows in September - they will be ably assisted by Lovdrug, Days Away and The Goodwill.
