From the land down under, comes one of the most explosive new hardcore bands I have heard this past year. Miles Away presents everything I look at for a good hardcore band. They are melodic, great mosh parts, their songs have a great flow, understandable and honest lyrics and they are extremely catchy which means great sing along parts. They are up there with Bane, Champion, Stay Gold and Reach The Sky in their sound. They will appeal to all the kids who like to get in the pit in unity and dance, stage dive and sing along. Miles Away - S/T is up there with Bane - The Note and Betrayed - Addiction EP as one of my favorite hardcore albums of the year. Every time I hear this album, I just get a great picture in my head of getting in the pit with some of my hardcore friends and just having an amazing time dancing and singing along. Extremely solid hardcore debut. Miles Away new album, Consequences, will hit the streets in January 2006 and based of their self titled album, it will be one of my most anticipated albums on next year.
