Straight edge hardcore isn't dead. It has been making a comeback. Don't get me wrong, there have been hardcore bands popping up everywhere for years now but there wasn't a movement like there was in the late 80's and early 90's. Now there seems to be a slew of straight edge bands popping up everywhere. More To Pride is one of those bands. They hail from Los Angles area. They aren't positive but they sure are convicted. They love hardcore, they love straight edge and they love their crew and I can't really disrespect that. With so much music today that seems so pointless, it is great to hear bands that speak for a reason and/or cause. More To Pride is more of the tough guy side of the hardcore fence and that really isn't my style but I still listen and enjoy some of it. Their sound reminds me No Warning, Cast Aside and Right Brigade. It brings the mosh hard and heavy. The lyrics aren't all that great...well that would be a compliment. They aren't that good at all. It's a decent effort from a decent band. If you are a straight edge nut than you will probably dig this record.
