Shattered Realm is another band in a long line of tough guy metal influenced hardcore bands. They are from the great state of New Jersey which isn't really known for their metalcore bands...hardcore bands yes but not really metalcore bands. "From The Dead End Blocks Where Life Means Nothing" has the potential of being a very good album but there are too many kids in the pool at this time in the scene for them to make any type of impression on my taste or the scene for that matter. It's extremely heavy and bruising but it's just not enough to take this album or this band to the next level. It is just too similar to their peers that it's just not the right time for them.
