Slick Shoes Lineup Changes
by Nate_Bailey; 01.19.04

A statement from the band:

Hey everyone! Well we’re sure all of you are wondering what has been happening with us over the past few months. As I’m sure you’ve all heard, much has been going on. Rumors have been flying about, like they always do when there is a line-up change in a band and the simple fact of the matter is that it was time for a change. We could go on and give the “Creative Differences” excuse, but that would be pretty lame on our part. So here’s the simple honest truth… Sometimes it doesn’t always work out with band members. 5 different people with 5 different views of how things should be done is not always an easy thing to work with. Obviously Slick Shoes has been through a few line-up changes since the beginning… Some members felt they didn’t want to continue working to become what we know Slick Shoes has the potential to be and other members we decided just didn’t fit with us. There are no hard feelings held for any of the past members of Slick Shoes... that’s just the way it happens sometimes. We wish Kevin and Joe the best of luck with whatever projects they decide to pursue next, and we hope that you all will continue to support them as you have while they were with us.

In better news, we have two new band members. Bill Lanz has taken over on Drums and Josh Kleven is on Bass. Bill and Josh are both good friends of ours and after practicing together, we know they will make great additions to the band. We feel that this lineup is a solid unit and that we all are striving for the same basic goals when it comes to this band: To give our fans 100%. To make the best music we can and go out there and play for all of you on a nightly basis. It’s what we live for and we can’t wait to get back out there and see all of you! We’ll see you at the shows!

Ryan, David and Jonah
