Should I tear this album apart and just be honest or should I just be really
fake about it all and just say..."well they seem like nice guys so they are
good"? Well I don't know the band so I can't take road. God, forgive me. This is
just bad. It's so generic that my eyes are hurting from frustration. It looks
like they found the recipe to make a metalcore band and they followed it to a T.
Bass driven but still with melodic breakdowns and then don't forget the same old
same old vocals and then you always have to have the guitarist who does the high
pitched sing alongs. The secret ingredient is of course the depressing and
melancholy lyrics that just seem over acted. The picture supplied with the liner
notes makes these guys look even more generic. I don't really like the judge a
book by it's cover but they look like youth group kids who got a few tattoos
after they heard their first underoath album and threw away all their ska cd's
from 3 years previous. It's not a personal attack. It's just a link I see
between the music and the photo. It's just bad. I guess the originality fairy
was off the day they decided to do this band.
