Dear Conrad -- I want to share my faith with others, I want to speak God's Word. And where I live I feel so bad for some people because they could have so much more if they only knew. But I don't want to be disrespectful to others and get in their faces. How can I spread God's word without being disrespectful? Thanks. -- Beth
Beth,
The best way to sum it up is this… MT 22:37 Jesus replied: " `Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' [38] This is the first and greatest commandment. [39] And the second is like it: `Love your neighbor as yourself.'
So we need to treat each other in love. That’s the same way we need to share our faith. Being “disrespectful” to them would be shoving your beliefs down their throat – not allowing them to talk, ridiculing their beliefs, etc. You can pray for them, and also pray for wisdom that you would see any opportunities that have been opened to you.
