The Crucified Back Together?

Well, people around town are saying The Crucified are back together. For those of you who are like way too young - The Crucified were an original Christian punk band that started in the late 80s and made their way into my Sony walkman in 1989.

Their first album was awesome. Even though it sounds like the drummer played a bucket instead of a snare. Then the next album was metal, which I didn't like. So I stopped listening to them. This was right at the time where all my favorite Christian artists released crappy albums, namely Steve Taylor and Stryper. So it was a dark era for me and Christian rock. We didn't quite see eye-to-eye at that point.

Well right now, being back together just means that they have a a box set and a new tee shirt for you to buy. We'll have to see if they actually play a show. Because to me, that's being back together.

I wonder if 20 years after my first album if anyone will care about Ghoti Hook. It's been almost 13 years from my first album. Man, I know a bunch of kids who are 13 years old. Everyone who listened to my stuff is all like adults with kids.

Even if we had a show today, our original fans would have to get babysitters to come to the show. Those babysitters will probably be as old as my first record. Which means you can just use my first album to babysit your kids instead.

It'll probably do a better job. Your babysitter is just going to text her friends the entire time. I don't allow my album to have a texting plan. I want it to be responsible and learn how to actually talk to people - you know, audibly.
