The Dark Romantics - Another Song Ep

As a big fan of Denison Marrs, I was excited to hear Eric Collins’ new venture, The Dark Romantics. I’m not sure if I was hoping for something similar in style but what I got was a danceable, sing-a-long that sounds influenced by the Smiths as well as other British acts.

This ep is instantly listenable and it only improves with repeat listens. The lyrics, “this is how we get down,” accurately describe what is so cool about the Dark Romantics. They are older and more mature than their previous bands and have a sense of comfort in the band’s chemistry and composition. The songwriting is more of the same talent filled rock that we have come to expect from Collins and company.
