Here's an update on what's going on with the ministry in the Philippines that Decapolis is helping raise money for.
Here's the quick rundown…
My dad has a ministry over in the Philippines. He has written tons of books and teaching materials for churches and communities. The part of it that Decapolis raises money for is for the Children's Bible Clubs. We have adopted one Bible club and completely pay its budget.
So the new news is that the mayor of that of the capital city in one of the 'states' wants my dad to bring the Bible club program to the entire city. My dad's Biblical Values Education will be taught in 5 day care centers there – this is along with the 6 Bible clubs that have already been started in that city. 25 more day care centers are awaiting the ministry.
The other news is that my dad has restructured the budget so it only costs half as much to run. So now it only costs $50 a month per Bible club. Decapolis has raised about $1000 so far. That's almost 2 Bible clubs' annual budget. The budget is a donation to the teacher and teaching assistant and snacks for the kids.
(Here are pictures from the Bible Club Decapolis has adopted. We will adopt a second once because of the amount of money you've donated.)

I hope you'd consider donating to the lives of these children.

Trece Martires – The capital city of the state/province of Cavite
August 1, 2005
Dear Friends,
Here in the Philippines, political and economic crisis and social unrest come and go. What's new is the coming together of the Church and the State. Both agree that the root of all the problems that beset the country is of a spiritual nature. Concern for the well being of the new generation of Filipinos is growing stronger.
A very wide door of ministry has been opened to us at Trece Martires, the capitol city of Cavite. Its mayor tells our ministry partner there that if we do not win their children, the gambling and drug lords will. He has given us the go signal to teach our values education curriculum to all the day care centers of the city. So, aside from the six new bible clubs that just got started, we are bringing our ministry to the preschoolers of five day care centers at Trece. At present 225 kids, ages 3 to 12, come to our values education program. About 25 more centers await our ministry.
Aside from our increasing involvement at Trece, a bible club got started at Barangay Luzviminda in the town of Dasmarinas, Cavite. Another barangay there is waiting for us. Our ministry at the day care center of Barangay Josefa, Quezon City is well under way. Two neighboring barangays are eager to start our program but we lack qualified teachers.
We have brought the cost to operate a bible club down to $50 per month. This amount includes love gifts to a teacher and a teaching assistant and snack for 12 to 25 kids that form a club. We need to strike while the iron is hot. We need to bring God's values to the children of the Filipino poor and introduce the saving grace of Jesus to them and their parents. Doors keep opening. We need more financial assistance. We need individual believers to adopt a bible club or two. Please share this need to more of your friends and people you think might be interested in being involved in winning the new generation of Filipinos to the Lord Jesus.
Thank you so much for your continuing support. May God continue to
richly bless you.
Sincerely in Christ,
Conrad Tolosa
