I have a couple of internet suggestions.
So I'm a big advocate of using Firefox as my browser but there are many times I need to use Internet Explorer. The lack of tabbed browsing kills me. But there is a way to have tabbed browsing with IE.
Now you will think I'm out of my mind when I suggest this, but please I am still completely sane.
There is a MSN toolbar that gives you tabbed browsing for IE.
Still there?
Okay. You can make the toolbar non-intrusive and only use it for tabbed browsing. I've been using it for a full day now and it seems to work well. (Remember to move their toolbars around so they're almost hidden).
There's even an option to open a bunch of your daily websites as different tabs, with one click.
It also comes with a Mac like desktop search, which is actually pretty useful. But you don't have to install that if you don't want. I like it.
So if you have to use IE and love your tabbed browsing, just remember, it was I, Conrad, who found the solution for you.
Another suggestion…
Did you run XP? Well you might want to download a couple options from Microsoft that will make your XP way better:
Go to that link and get these two options...
TweakUI – you can customize tons and tons and tons of options in XP. The "UI" in Tweak UI means "User Interface". Tweak means tweak. So put it all together and you got "Tweak User Interface".
ClearType – text shows up better on your computer. It's nice.
Hoo boy. What a great post.
