You know how Decapolis supports Children's Bible Clubs in the Philippines?  Well Decapolis readers have donated $1,366 so far this year.  Well really it's just been a handful of people who have donated most of it.  Four people have donated totals of 976, 240, 50 and 100.  I hope you would consider donating.

If you didn't know, we're supporting my father's ministry which is exploding - there are over 100 Bible Clubs with over 4,300 kids.  The money you donated would specifically go to specific Bible clubs, but there's just so many now that our dollars are going to spent a little differently.  Here's what my dad had to say about it…

There are so many Bible Clubs now, over 100, with over 4,300 kids. We are in private and public schools. Right now the cost of a student workbook is 20 cents. We have to produce workbooks by the thousands now - lower unit cost, but more cash up front.

Every dollar contributed to Lambat buys 8 workbooks. A student needs 4 workbooks in one year so every dollar provides 2 students with necessary workbooks for the entire year.  So if you have contributed $1,000 that means you are providing workbooks for 2,000 students for the entire year. Our goal this year has been upped to 6,000 students.

 

Soooo… that means you four people who have donated have provided an entire year's workbooks for 2,732 children - which is an astonishing 45% of the 6,000 needed. 

Of course there's way more expenses than just for workbooks, but it's my hope that Decapolis readers will be able to cover the entire cost for all 6,000 kids for an entire year.  So we just need around $1,600 for the rest of the year.
