It was Julia's birthday on June 7th and I got pictures.
I had done a really good job of keeping the party a secret. She didn't know about it at all. So we get to my house and there's like people, balloons and streamers. So here's the list of people who came…
My cousins: Jamie, Michael, Robbie, Jason – which constitutes the Nefarious Tolosa Gang, Deanne, Julia's brother David, Victoria, then Decapolis kids: Campiscool, Campslittlebrother, Emily-o, Pearl Fairy and Kenneth Hasselhoff.
I ordered pizza right away cause we were hungry. Snacks were also aplenty. We got into a game of Outburst. Which my team won.
Then we got food. And did the whole cake thing.

(Left to Right) Brutus, David, Victoria, Kenneth's feet, Julia.
Watch as Jamie cuts the cake...

Jamie, Robb-A, Jason, Melissa, Michael
Look at all the excitement as we watch him cut the cake...

Then Julia opened presents.
A present from her kids...

A present from Robb-A. See if you can find my evil eyes in this photo...

Julia got a bunch of nice presents and some really funny ones. All mine sucked – we ended up returning 3 of the 4 presents I got her.
Jamie got her a toy claw thingie, which Brutus found facinating.

But we saved one gift for last.

What could have made Julia so happy?!
...another addition to her Tupac Shrine! That's what!

Then it was time for one of the best party games of all time…
Donkey Konga.
I have two sets up bongos so we kept the same teams as we had during Outburst. I have a projector so there's like this 6 foot image on my wall.

Now Donkey Konga is a very simple game that anyone can play. If you've ever played Dance Dance Revlolution, you kinda know what's going on, but this is done on bongos. You play along with the song and hit the left or right bongos, or clap at the right times. The better your rhythm and skill the better you do. That sounds dum right? But it's totally the best time we could have had. Even when you're not playing, it's fun watching your teammate and playing along in your head.
My team got killed 10-4. And one of those points was me playing - which doesn't count cause I'm like awesome. It's a little unfair cause I've played the game way more than anyone else since I own it. So the score was really 10-3. Even if my team won the first part of the game, when it counted bonuses, the other team would get a higher score.
After that was some Wario Ware. Yes a Gameboy game. I have devised a way where a whole group of people can play this game as a team game. Chalk another one up for my party genius.
I really have to thank everyone who came - especially Melissa and Deanne for helping get stuff together.
So happy birthday to Julia. May this next year be happier than the last.
I'm sure it will because it will involve marriage to me. And we all know I make everyone's life better.
