I have two new gadgets. After the wedding I thought I'd get myself some presents.
First I got the Gameboy Micro. This thing is super small and the screen is incredible. Super bright and crisp. I might as well call it my Advance Wars Micro cause that's really all I play on it.
Since I have absolutely no time to play video games I can only play when I can't work on anything else. Like if Julia goes into some clothing store. I just wait outside and play a few rounds, when she comes out, I save it till the next time I get a few minutes to kill.
But I gave my Gameboy Micro more kick. I got the Play Yan media player so I can use it to play MP3's and Videos. The Play Yan is like a Gameboy cartridge that you stick an SD card into. It automatically finds your MP3's and videos. Fun. Now the kids use that because I got something new…
The iPod Video. I always told myself I'd only get an iPod if it played video. And guess what? They're doing that now. The first day it was available I got the black 30Gig version. I am very pleased with it.
What makes life even better is that both the Gameboy and iPod both play MP4 videos, so I only have to convert it once for play on either machine. So now we have two options for pocket sized video.
The only thing that sucks about the Gameboy video is that the screens cut off the very bottom, so that subtitles sometimes get cut off. So much for Jordan watching Naruto on it. That has to be saved for the iPod. But anything without subtitles work fine and look great.
Speaking of Naruto and videos, I guess I'm one of four people on Decap who watch it. I guess now that Cartoon Network is airing it more people will start watching it. I'm on episode 156 and the American version is on what, episode 2?
Julia and I are watching the first season of Lost. I heard from people with similar tastes to mine that this show is great, but I just never got around to watching it. It is really good.
Yep, that's the exciting world of Conrad for the day. Now I just need to get a cassette adapter thingie for my car so I can listen to my iPod in my car. FM transmitters suck. Great, yeah, FM quality sound. (See Conrad's Sirius Radio).
Speaking of Sirius Satellite Radio, they just added a Christian rock station to their channels. But that needs it's own post.
Toodles,
Conrad
