Julia and I are building a house.  Well, I shouldn't say we are building a house but we're paying someone to build it for us.  And today was the first day of it's building. 

 

We bought some land last year and this is what it looks like.

The house is going in this wooded area.  Can you find Conrad?

So since we really don't live in trees the first step is to clear out these trees to make room for our house. 

 

So before we start, Julia and I break ground...

 

 

The first day there's a bulldozer and man, nature is no match for even a small bulldozer. 

 

It all started this morning, with the first tree.

We tried to keep as many trees as possible.  In about a few hours the spot where our house is gonna sit was cleared out. 

 

 

Two more days of the excavators.  They'll grade and move dirt around. 

 

So just six more months of this.
